Preschools give back to charity

Kiddeo and Tiny Tots Preschool raised R14 300 which they donated to the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) on Thursday.

Kiddeo and Tiny Tots Preschool raised R14 300 which they donated to the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) on Thursday.

The two preschools, both owned by Shenaaz Moosa, saw it fit to give back to charities around Tzaneen. They started this last year and decided to make it an annual event where they identify one charity to donate to. Last year they donated the money raised to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA).

The money was accompanied by canned food for animals, blankets, pillows and hardware materials, donated by Moosa. “We would like to challenge other preschools and primary schools around Tzaneen to consider looking for charities, fundraiser and donate to. These charities need our help and we need to help in every possible way that we can. Every year we are going to choose a different charity to donate to.”, said Moosa.

The preschool children were given donation forms to ask for donation from their family members and community members and the response was impressive. Amukelani Ndimande raised the most money of the group. She raised R665.

“This is the most awesome gift ever from Kiddeo and Tiny Tots Preschool. It comes at a very desperate time for maintaining our kennels that are very old. Our animals can live more comfortable and in style. We are very humbled and we give thanks to these young innocent souls as well as the preschools management” said Ellie Potgieter, SPCA Letaba Inspector.
