First in their class

The Simpson Motors team finished first in class and 7th overall.

After nearly a years absence from rallying the Simpson Motors team again entered the Sasol Rally which was run in and around Sabie, White River and Nelspruit.

This was in actual fact an International Rally as there were competitors from Kenia, Zambia and Zimbabwe a total of 34 entrants.

Conditions were not easy as it had rained in that area the previous days leaving the gravel stages wet and very slippery.

This is most probably the most popular rally in the country with thousands of spectators due to the night stages in Sabie and White River and the three tar stages in Nelspruit, this besides all the gravel stages.

The little 1400 cc Opel Corsa of Simpson Motors driven by Eddie Simpson and navigator, Jeremy du Plessis had once again a trouble free run throughout all the stages and finished 7th overall and 1st in class.

The next rally will be run in and around Secunda at the end of May.
