HOEDSPRUIT: Diphuti foundation hosts career exhibition
The Diphuti Foundation hosted a career exhibition on April 28 at the Oaks community hall for local schools within the Maruleng municipality.
“This career exhibition is aimed at exposing learners to the opportunities they have after completing their grade 12,” stated Isaac Shai, Diphuti Foundation project manager.
Matriculants from six different high schools came in their numbers and listened attentively to the guests who were invited to address them.
“As Diphuti Foundation we found it necessary to invite speakers who will share their testimonies, motivate the learners as well as help them pave their way to their desired career,” he further stated.
The exhibition came after many households in and around the Marulang municipality end up staying at home because they are not exposed to the different bursaries or funding options available to them.
Learners were spoiled with a day filled with question and answer sessions as well as presentations and exhibitions.
“Learners were equipped with the necessary information on which subjects to take during their high school period in order for them to be able to study towards what they aspire to be in life,” Shai concluded.
