Hudson triumphs on during tourney

Nkowankowa Stadium hosted the Kay Motsepe School Tournament where different schools within the Ritavi Cluster battled against each other.

The tournament was in two categories; Netball under 15 and Soccer Under 19.

In the netball category, Magoza Secondary School from Nkowankowa Circuit automatically qualified to the district level due to being the only team which was present on the day.

The five teams which participated in the soccer challenge were Hudson Ntsanwisi Secondary School (Nkowankowa Circuit), Ben Vorster High School (Tzaneen Circuit), Makhanya Secondary School (Nwanedzi Circuit), Mapheto Secondary School (Xihoko Circuit) and Malobasane Secondary School from Mafarana circuit.

Malabosane was however disqualified due to not having the required documents.

Hudson Ntsanwisi Secondary School won 5-0 over Makhanya in the finals to move on to the district level.

The two victorious schools will be representing the Ritavi Cluster at the district level in Giyani Stadium on July 29.

The winning teams at the district level will represent the Mopani District Municipality in Mokopane in August 12 in the provincial stages.

The provincial winning team will pocket a prize of R100 000 and the national winning team will take home R1 million in September.
