Severe thunderstorms are expected in places over Limpopo from today

‘Snowfall is expected to start around midday over the Eastern Cape and then on to the southern Drakensberg by Monday evening.’

The SA Weather Service has warned citizens to prepare for severe thunderstorms in Johannesburg and across the country.

“Severe thunderstorms are expected in places over the eastern parts of North West, eastern parts of the Free State, northern and central parts of KwaZulu-Natal, in places in Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga,” it said.

The heavy rainfall and light snowfall would only reach the coastal provinces on Tuesday.
