ACORNHOEK: Women robbed at gunpoint

The women entered the house and put money on the table to share, but they received uninvited guests.

The Acornhoek police are on the lookout for three suspects who were involved in a house robbery on November 29.

It is alleged that a a 45 year women and her friends hired a taxi from Maromeng trust to Hoedspruit post office to loan money that belongs to Small enterprise foundations.

“On arrival they withdrew fifty two thousand rands and went back home with the same transport,” Captain Mpho Nonyane, Acornhoek police spokeswoman told the Herald.

Following this, the women entered the house and put money on the table to share.

But they received uninvited guests.

“According to the statement provided to the police, an old Mazda Etios grey and yellow in colour stopped at the gate and three armed men exited the car and entered the house. The suspects got away with all the money and no arrests have been made to date”, added Nonyane.
