WARNING: Ten hijackings on road to Tzaneen

Ten hijackings already this month were reported on two popular roads leading to Tzaneen and the police urge motorist to avoid these roads.

During the SAPS Cluster meeting in Giyani earlier this week, an urgent appeal was made to the public and warned that motorists should avoid the R36 and R71 roads where possible!

The R36 turnoff at Tunnel-plaza from Tzaneen to Maake, and the R71 turnoff to Tzaneen en-route to Letsitele after Ofcolaco must be avoided if possible.

In January there were already 10 vehicle hi-jacking’s on the above mentioned roads.

They appeal to road users from Hoedspruit, Phalaborwa and Tzaneen to use the Gravelotte road en-route to Tzaneen.
