UPDATE: Phalaborwa mother and two boys found alive

A 45-year-old woman and her two children who were reported missing on Monday afternoon, June 4, have been found alive with no injuries.

The police said that the family was found in the Mankweng Policing area after their vehicle ran out of petrol while allegedly attending a church service there.

Esther Mnisi (45) and her two children aged between nine and ten were last seen on Monday, June 04, afternoon after they drove off with their Toyota Corrolla and did not inform anyone where they were going.The community was informed of the disappearance and she could not be found around the community.

“The ‘victims’ were found safe and they were not harmed at all and they are now being re-united with their family members in Namakgale,” read the police statement. Esther Mnisi is an Educator at Lepato High School in Makhushane village outside Phalaborwa.

One family member alleged that the 45-year-old usually goes to Lebowakgomo and Mankweng to attend church services without notifying anyone.
