Letaba Junction: Out of the ashes…

Following on from the fire that engulfed the restaurant area of the Letaba Junction in the early hours of Friday, July 27, Alfie Viljoen, Managing Director and Shareholder of the premises is excited to share the plans for the future of the establishment.

Although the fire came as a significant blow to Alfie and his team, they managed to find the silver lining and Alfie told the LETABA HERALD shortly after the incident, “We are just thankful that nobody was injured.With the community we’ve got, we will make the Junction bigger and better.We don’t have all the answers, but maybe there is a bigger plan from above.”

Well the new plans are certainly impressive and out of the ashes, a fantastic venture is soon to rise. The 3D renders that have been produced are nothing short of beautiful and it is certainly an exciting time for the Junction.

The estimated opening of the new and exciting establishment is April / May 2019 and will include a restaurant, coffee shop, outdoor and indoor children’s play areas, a venue that will accommodate approximately 200 people and a private boardroom / function room. Moreover, an exciting array of shops will continue to trade with African art available to tempt passing tourists.

An additional four new bedrooms with prime river views will increase capacity at the Junction too. The HERALD will keep you updated with news from the project.
