HOEDSPRUIT: Mayoral driver’s joyride crash

The driver of the Mayor of Maruleng Municipality will face a disciplinary hearing after he crashed a mayoral Mercedes-Benz SUV into another vehicle while off-duty on December 26.

It is alleged that Sekgobela, who was off duty a day after Christmas, took the mayor, Dipuo Thobejane’s official vehicle, a silver Mercedes Benz GLE 400, worth close to R1million for a joyride.
