Man suspected of 30 burglaries arrested

A suspect believed to be responsible for a spate of burglaries in Tzaneen, Bolobedu, Polokwane and Makhado areas was arrested in Seshego on Monday night.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said that the suspect in his thirties is linked to 30 cases of burglaries committed in Tzaneen, Bolobedu, Giyani, Seshego, Mahwelereng, Polokwane and Makhado areas between 2012 and 2018.

It is alleged that the man broke into residential areas stealing money and electrical appliances.

In Bolobedu he broke into a house and stole a plasma TV sets.

The suspect was due to appear at various Magistrate’s court at the time of going to print.

The acting Provincial Police Commissioner, Major General Jan Scheepers commended the investigating team for removing the man from the communities.
