WATCH: Grazing elephant suddenly turns hostile in KNP

Warning strong language: "We both sat in silence as the elephant moved off, knowing how lucky we were to survive this."

This Elephant was feeding next to the road and suddenly decided to charge the vehicle closest to him.

It had been raining so the narrow gravel road was extremely slippery which made reversing a difficult task.

Especially with a 5 ton elephant charging at you!

“When I decided to stop filming (but the camera still rolling) and look behind me (as I’m trying to stay on the road while reversing), the elephant stopped. Fortunately there were no cars behind us. Luckily my partner kept filming with my second camera. We both sat in silence as the elephant moved off, knowing how lucky we were to survive this,” the video contributor posted on YouTube.
