Shayi sworn in as Mopani Mayor

Councillor Pule Shayi has been sworn in as the new Mopani District Municipality Executive Mayor.

“Councillor Shayi’s swearing-in comes after the former Executive Mayor Nkakareng Rakgoale was elevated to the Provincial Legislature where she is serving as MEC for Social Development,” Witness Tiva spokesperson for Mopani District Municipality  said.

Delivering his acceptance speech, Shayi urged Council and general members of the public to work together to see to it that there’s improved service delivery across the district municipality, according to Tiva.
