Six die in another head-on collision

"It is alleged that two motor vehicles, a BMW and a Mercedes Benz have collided head-on along the R81 road."

The Police in Giyani are investigating a case of culpable homicide following a motor vehicle collision which occurred in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 16 June at about 01:00.

“It is alleged that two motor vehicles, a BMW and a Mercedes Benz have collided head-on along the R81 road between Giyani and Polokwane near Dingamazi village,” Coll Moatshe Ngoepe, police spokesperson said.

According to Ngoepe the BMW caught fire and burned with the occupants inside.

Six people lost their lives, including the two drivers.

“All the deceased are still unknown,” Ngoepe said.

Anyone who can assist the Police in the identification of the deceased, may go to Giyani Police Station.

Police investigations are ongoing.
