At the age of 20 Lebepe can fix everything concerning a car from, service, engines, tyre changing and more.

She obtained her Motor Mechanic and Design Mechanic certificate at Vision Automotive Training in the Tzaneen Industrial area, led by Rally Champion, Peter Pilusa.

Her love for cars was not instant she wanted to study lawyer after at varsity, but her marks were not good enough.

“After enrolling for the mechanic course my perception about the field changed, I began to love everything about cars.

“I love the fact that I now understand everything about motor vehicles and that I get to fix it,” she explained.

But she maintains that there is still a stigma associated to female mechanics from the public.

“We are not treated equally by our clients, especially male motor owners, they believe we cannot do a proper job because we are women, which is totally wrong.

“I can do everything that a man can do,” she added.
