Business robbery outside Giyani

One suspect fatally wounded.

“The Police in Malamulele outside Giyani have intercepted a trio crime syndicate soon after they robbed a local general dealer in the early hours of Sunday morning 18 August at about 01:00,” Col Moatshe Ngoepe said.

It is alleged that three suspects robbed a shop owner of his car, cash, cigarettes and airtime on gun point at Halahala village before they fled the scene.

The police were notified and reacted swiftly to the scene. On arrival, they immediately followed their tracks.

One suspect were fatally wounded by the police at Mapapila village.

“The other two evaded arrest and disappeared in the darkness,” Ngoepe said.

A manhunt for the remaining suspects continues.
