Tzaneen: Murder shock in Tzangeni

Sergeant Yvvone Moyana aged (43) a Communication Officer attached to Tzaneen Cluster, was allegedly shot dead by her husband in the presence of their children at their home in Tzaneen.

“The husband (44), a police Warrant Officer attached to the Provincial Crime Intelligence Component, turned the gun on himself and allegedly committed suicide. The couple’s three children were immediately taken for trauma counseling,” Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said.

The Provincial Commissioner and the Cluster Commander Major General Maggie Mathebula visited the scene of the incident and were also saddened by the loss of two police members under preventable circumstances.

“The SAPS has internal structures that provide assistance to its members who might be going through any strained domestic issues and members are urged to make use of these structures” concluded General Ledwaba.

The motive for this incident will be determined by the unfolding investigations, Mojapelo said.
