Police looking for alleged rhino poachers

The police in Hoedspruit have launched a manhunt for alleged rhino poachers after two white rhino carcasses were found with bullet wounds and their horns removed on a game reserve in the area on Monday.

Police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe said the discovery was made during an intensified patrols in various parts of the game reserve after gunshots were heard on Sunday night.

“The suspects are still unknown at this stage and there is no arrest yet. The police investigations are underway.” he said.
