Church donates a newly built house for family

After hearing that the Pilusa family in Maseke recently lost their house in a fire, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) Men’s Guild built the family a new house.

The church hosted an annual men’s conference in Phalaborwa at the Mopani TVET College in September and as part of the tradition of the event, they donate to impoverished families. “We normally donate food parcels to needy families during the conference. When we heard that the Pilusa family lost their house in a fire, we came up with the idea of building them a house as it was a critical matter.

“The main funders of the project were EPC National, EPC Letaba Men’s Guild, other companies, and the EPC Letaba Presbytery,” explained Rev Patrick Ndlovu. The family received a newly built four-roomed house, with brand new furniture items, but are still in need of more furniture and clothing items. Community members, including the Maseke traditional leadership, expressed that they needed an EPC branch in their village.
