Nana is best makeup artist in mzansi

Chayeza Phakula of Nana’s Makeup is the best makeup artist in the country.

This is after she was named the winner of Clash of the Makeup Artists competition on Saturday, January 5 in Johannesburg. She won the Blooming category with Caroline Bapela from GaMarishane, who is based in Johannesburg, as runner-up. The 29-year-old from Nkowankowa says she is pleased with her win and that at the start of the competition, she was only trying her luck and did not know how far she would go.

One of her prizes includes a trip to Portuguese Island and other exciting prizes. The competition began last year in September with contestants from all over the country going through a voting process. The local artist cruised to the final as she received the most votes. She told the Herald that as an ambassador of the competition, she will be hosting classes teaching how to apply makeup in different towns.

Her business specialises in makeup services for events including weddings and parties. Follow Nana’s Makeup on Facebook for more information.
