Foundation celebrates learners’ achievements

The Enock Mathebula Foundation sponsored by Bora Mining Services, hosted a breakfast event for the matric class of 2023, at the Borwa Lifestyle Centre, recently.

The foundation endorsed 17 matriculants in their mentorship programme during 2022 and 2023. The aim was to congratulate the learners who passed and to encourage those who did not make it, to try again. The organisation said it is committed to support and nourish each learner on their educational journey. The mentorship programme’s goal is to rebuild society through education, to help accelerate the personal and professional development of the mentees by inspiring, empowering and educating them to achieve their full potential to become leaders.

Speaker at the event, Thokozile Mkondwane, encouraged the learners to find a purpose in life. “Purpose is not something that you need to figure out but something that’s already worked out.” She also encouraged the learners to be stubborn about their goals and flexible about their methods. The second speaker, Tomula Malungane, advised the learners not to be changed by a situation if they know their value. The learners received hampers with electrical appliances and other essentials which they will be able use during their tertiary studies.
