Plasie equestrians in action at Uitzoek

Merensky Agricultural Academy’s equestrians participated in the Western Mounted Games at Uitzoek Stables on May 4.

The riders competed in barrels, poles, figure 8 stakes, keyhole and speedball. Diné Booyse competed in the junior level 1 division on her horse, Aarika. She took first place in the speedball event and second place in the figure 8 stakes. She also took fourth place in the poles event and seventh place in the barrels and keyhole events.

Booyse also competed with her horse Sundownes Surprise at Dawn in the junior level 2 division. She took second place in the poles and speedball events and took third place overall. Natalie dos Ramos with Rose competed in the junior level 0 division and took first place in barrels and figure 8 Stakes, second place in keyhole and third place in Speedball.

She was the overall champion in the division. Laila le Roux with Bos Malawi competed in the junior level 1 division and took ninth place overall. Tayla von Pannier was the overall champion in the senior level 2 division. Danica Coetzee competed in the same division and took seventh place overall.

Daniël Coetzee took second place overall in the SAWMGA level 1 division. He also took first place overall in the SANESA level 1 division, SANESA level 0 division and the SAWMGA level 0 division.
