African child celebrated by MEC

The Limpopo provincial government celebrated International Day of the African Child in style at Mmamatlepa Kgashane Primary School in Ga-Kgapane outside Tzaneen on Saturday, July 20.

This year’s theme, Education for All Children in Africa: The Time is Now, was celebrated. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of the challenges facing children and to empower them with educational information to access inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa.

During the event, learners gave presentations on topics and challenges they face such as violence, bullying, abuse, and neglect.
