Nkowankowa Continental aim for top spot in the upcoming season

The ABC Motsepe league team, Nkowankowa Continental FC, are aiming for the top spot by the end of the season.

This is according to the new coach, Peace Khosa, who recently signed a contract with the Nkowankowa-based team. He told the Herald that they are currently preparing for the league which will start in October. The team finished the 2023/24 league in fourth place. Khosa was instrumental in taking his former team, Tzaneen United FC to the first position last season.

This granted United an opportunity to play against Mpheni Home Defenders FC in the playoffs. A win would have given them a promotion to the National First Division league (NFD). Khosa is hoping to achieve the same results with Continental, only this time they would hopefully win and move to the NFD league.

“We are planning to be number one in the league and obviously move to NFD, but we also hope to get our players contracts with professional teams as well,” he said. Khosa said he is adamant that they will achieve results with players such as Andy ‘Zizo’ Mboweni, who played in the NFD last season. “We are hoping that with the experience that Zizo has, he will be able to assist other players and the whole team.

We have talented and disciplined players and we are expecting nothing but the best results,” he concluded. Follow Nkowankowa Continental FC on Facebook for more updates on the team.
