Fauna Park Primary awards top learners

Fauna Park Primary School recently recognised and awarded 185 learners for their academic and sports achievements during the year.

LIMPOPO – Fauna Park Primary School has recognised and awarded foundation and intermediate phase learners for their diligent academic and sports efforts during the year.

The foundation phase prizegiving on Wednesday, October 30, saw 80 learners being awarded, while the intermediate senior phase prizegiving on the following day saw 105 learners being awarded. The learners received trophies, medals and certificates.

“I feel so happy and proud about the learners who received awards for their hard work. As the principal, I always encourage learners and teachers to do their best in their work to achieve the best results. Prizegiving motivates learners to keep on working hard,” said principal Florina Mamokgere.

She stated that the prizegiving for academic progress takes place at the end of every term. At the end of the year, both academic and sports achievements are recognised.

Mamokgere added that prizegiving ceremonies are to inspire and encourage the learners to continue working hard while also thanking them for their efforts throughout the year.

The principal told the Herald that the school assists the learners who experience challenges by setting up parent intervention meetings to discuss how parents and the school can work together to improve the learners’ performances.
