Gr 11 Merensky beauty on her way to the US

Tsakani Andries (16) crowned International Teen Supermodel South Africa 2025, winning the Public Choice Award and will represent SA at the international pageant.

LIMPOPO – Tsakani Andries, a 16-year-old model and Gr 11 learner from Merensky Agricultural Academy in Tzaneen was crowned the first International Teen Supermodel South Africa 2025 recently.

The event, held at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, saw Tsakani representing Limpopo in the competition’s grand finale.

Her victory not only secured her the coveted crown but also earned her a fully sponsored trip to the United States this December, where she will represent South Africa on an international stage.

Adding to her triumph, Tsakani also clinched the Public Choice Award, highlighting her widespread support and popularity.

Expressing her gratitude, Tsakani credited her success to the unwavering encouragement she received from her supporters.

“I couldn’t have achieved this without the help and support of my family, my fans, my social media followers, and the Tzaneen and Limpopo communities who voted for me,” she said.

Tsakani extended heartfelt appreciation to her mother, Manana Andries, who played a pivotal role in her journey as her manager.

Manana supported her with everything from charity work and pageant preparation to moral support and encouragement.

“My parents supported me like I was the only child at home,” said Tsakani. “I am still amazed at how they managed to balance their love and support for me and my siblings, who were also there for me all the way. I am grateful to God for blessing me with such a supportive family.”

Tsakani intends to use her title as a platform to inspire young girls to embrace self-confidence and take up space as future leaders, regardless of their circumstances or background. She plans to work closely with the International Teen Supermodel SA organisation to uplift and empower other young women.

Her mother, Manana, expressed pride and joy in her daughter’s achievement. “I am humbled and so proud of what Tsakani has accomplished. Her hard work and dedication have paid off. She’s a determined young woman, and it was easy for me to go all out to support her. I wish her the best in her reign and as she prepares for the international pageant in December,” she said.
