Geleza Empowerment uplifts Hudson Ntsanwisi learners

The Geleza Empowerment Programme is helping Gr 8 learners develop life skills through mentorship and team-building activities.

TZANEEN – The Geleza Empowerment Programme (GEP) continues to make a positive impact on Gr 8 learners at Hudson Ntsanwisi Secondary School by equipping them with essential life and team-building skills.

GEP, a non-profit organisation, focusses on personal and career development for young people aged 12 to 23. The initiative aims to enhance skills beyond the standard school curriculum, providing learners with mentorship and practical engagement.

During their visits, GEP mentors interact with learners, offering guidance and support beyond academics. They also organise interactive activities such as the one-legged and wheelbarrow races, fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills.

The organisation visits the school once per term to monitor learners’ progress and ensure the continuity of its impact.

GEP also collaborates with mentors from various fields, including rugby, athletics, soccer, and motivational coaching, providing a well-rounded developmental experience.
