Maruleng Mayor earns Postgraduate Diploma

Maruleng Mayor Tsheko Musolwa completes his Public Management postgraduate diploma, inspiring youth to pursue education and leadership.

HOEDSPRUIT – Maruleng Local Municipality Mayor Tsheko Musolwa has graduated with a postgraduate diploma in Public Management from the University of Pretoria.

The graduation ceremony at the Rembrandt Hall in Pretoria marked a personal and professional milestone for the mayor.

Since assuming office in 2022, Musolwa has worked to lead the municipality while dedicating many hours to completing the qualification.

Reflecting on his journey, he described the experience as both challenging and rewarding. “Balancing my municipal responsibilities with my studies required discipline and commitment, but it has been worth every moment,” said Musolwa.

“I hope my achievement can serve as an example to others, especially the youth, of what can be accomplished through dedication and hard work.”

During his term as mayor, Musolwa has been actively involved in promoting education across Maruleng. He has engaged with learners in both primary and secondary schools, encouraging them to take their studies seriously and to view education as a pathway to empowerment and leadership.

“Education is essential for developing leaders who can inspire the nation to strive for excellence,” Musolwa said. “I encourage all young people to pursue their studies further, not just as a means to academic achievement, but as a tool for self-empowerment and positive change in their communities.”
