Tzaneen model wins big at Fashion Without Borders

Cavin Mafomo (20) wins Best Fashion Model at Fashion Without Borders Vaal 2025 and will represent SA in Botswana.

TZANEEN – Cavin Mafomo, a 20-year-old from Mariveni near Letsitele, was recently named Best Fashion Model at the Fashion Without Borders Vaal 2025. He impressed judges with his stage presence, confidence, runway walk, originality, and overall personality.

As part of his prize, Mafomo will represent South Africa at the upcoming Fashion Without Borders event in Gaborone, Botswana.

Speaking to the Herald, he described the win as a major milestone and the start of a bigger journey. He hopes to inspire young people to stay true to themselves and pursue their dreams fearlessly.

Though he began modelling only last year, Mafomo has already appeared in prominent events, including Ekurhuleni Couture Week, Tzaneen Fashion Week, Fashion Without Borders Johannesburg, and the Africa Rise Youth Indaba at the Radisson Hotel, O.R. Tambo.

In addition to modelling, he studied fashion design at Vaal University of Technology and runs his own label, Cavin M Exclusive Fashion House.

Signed with Nadine Model Management, Mafomo credits the agency for opening doors in his career. He also expressed gratitude to his family and friends for their ongoing support.
