Ben Vorster swimmers excel in the pool

Ben Vorster High School swimmers delivered outstanding results at the Limpopo Northern Sprint Gala, with new records in multiple events.

TZANEEN – Ben Vorster High School has applauded the outstanding performance of its swimmers at the recent Limpopo Northern Sprint Gala held in Polokwane.

Lleyton Lira delivered a remarkable performance, breaking records in the boys’ 50m and 100m butterfly events. He also secured first place in the 50m and 100m freestyle races.

Mari Bruwer also set new records in the girls’ 50m and 100m freestyle events. In addition, she claimed first place in the 50m backstroke, as well as in the 50m and 100m freestyle races.

Kayla de Beer achieved ninth place in the 50m breaststroke and finished 10th in both the 50m backstroke and freestyle events.

Casey-Lee McCabe produced an impressive all-round performance, earning second place in the 50m butterfly, second place in the 200m individual medley, and second place in the breaststroke.

She also finished fourth in the backstroke and 50m freestyle, and third in the 100m freestyle.
