LIMPOPO – A multi-disciplinary pursuit involving multiple police units and a tracking company culminated in the interception of an alleged stolen vehicle in Polokwane on Wednesday.

Police resources, including officers from Mankweng, Sebayeng, Polokwane, and Capricorn, as well as a police helicopter, were deployed in the chase after the vehicle was reported stolen in Tzaneen. Tracking companies also assisted in the operation.

The vehicle was eventually intercepted at the entrance of the N1 Industrial Park in Polokwane. A male suspect was apprehended at the scene.

Meanwhile, a security company from Tzaneen involved in the operation has indicated that preliminary assessments suggest the incident may not be linked to armed robbery, but could rather be a civil matter. The company has stated that further details will be confirmed in due course.
