It’s a croc eat croc kind of world

Rob Bowie photographed a rare occurrence, where a massive crocodile killed and ate a smaller crocodile in the Letaba River close to Letaba Camp in the Kruger National Park. The cannibal crocodile showed no mercy as he ripped the smaller crocodile to bits.

Rob Bowie from Cape Town shared photos on Facebook of a massive cannibal crocodile feasting on a smaller crocodile.

This is truly a rare occurrence.

Rob posted the following with the photos: “So there we were, watching an elephant knee deep in the Letaba river, having a splash and enjoying the cool water as elephants love to do when a commotion was noticed in the water. A very large croc along with several others had clearly caught something although we hadn’t seen any action. It took a good few minutes with the big croc doing it’s roll a couple of times with it’s prey but we couldn’t make out what it had in it’s jaws…..until, as can be seen we saw it had attacked another croc and with this stunning show of raw power, thrown it’s prey violently through the air! “it’s another croc” we shouted in unison.”

He added that they were the only people who witnessed this bizarre episode.

If not for the photographic evidence, would you believe it?
