Riverside crowned champions of mini tournament

Riverside Football Club has been crowned winners of the Mini Soccer Junior League Tournament recently in Namakgale Stadium.

The mini tourny was in preparation for the upcoming Mopani Development League, which will commence on Saturday, 10 April in Namakagale Stadium.

According to Emmanuel Makgobe, event organiser, the preparation games were designed to mentally prepare the young players for the league.

There were four categories under 11, 13, 15 and 17.

.Riverside FC won in two categories u.13 and u.17, Score Hunters won the u.11 and u.15 was won by Kgateloe Pele FC.

Some of the teams which will be part of the league include Namakgale TJ, Clever Boys, United FC and Predators FC.

Makgobe pleaded with local communities and businesses to assist with funds which will assist with buying soccer kits, boots and balls.
