The club posted on its Facebook page after they did their pre-season training in Phalaborwa last week. They stated that they enjoyed their stay in the region, after spending five days preparing for the next season. The club trained and played their games at Sir Val Duncan College, where they also played two matches against local teams.
The games draw football lovers from across Mopani in big numbers to watch the matches. On Wednesday, June 28, Baroka won 6-0 against Selwane White Vultures and on Thursday, June 29 the final score between Baroka and Selati Macumzar was 0-0. The team arrived on Monday, June 26, and was welcomed by the mayor of Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality, Merriam Malatji at Eden Square Mall.
