Shulman brings Africa Cup back to Tzaneen

The Microlight and Sport Aeroplane Association of South Africa (Misasa) held their annual Africa Cup at Hazyview recently with Steven Shulman bringing home the cup for the second year.

Pilots from all areas flew in for the 36th Africa Cup. “It is a real achievement for me. What makes this special is to see my name next to pilot legends from the 1980s and 1990s on the trophy,” Shulman remarked. He won the landing competition and took third place in the navigation competition and the fourminute circuit competition. He was crowned the overall winner and Africa Cup champion with a total of 3 870 points.

He says doing a round trip of South Africa with his microlight is one of his bucket list items. “Flying is a passion for me.
