Church’s golf day unites community

The recently hosted Salvation Cathedral International (SCI) Golf Day was supported by a diverse group of community members, players, and businessmen to raise funds for a new 1000-seater auditorium.

SCI, a church based in Annecke Street at the R71 Tzaneen and Georges Valley offramp in Tzaneen, is led by Apostle Tebogo Ramoshaba and his wife, Nomsizi, Construction of the auditorium is said to start soon. Bongani Baloyi, SCI spokesman, told the Herald that they were able to raise a substantial amount of money. A player from Gauteng, Veli Mngomezulu, played a hole-in-one on the 18th green, only the second golfer in the history of Tzaneen Country Club to achieve this.
