Support Bait-for-the-Cause fishing

Join the Bait-for-the-Cause fishing competition at Klaserie Dam from Friday to Sunday, and support Hoedspruit Paws and Scales Conservation Fund.

LIMPOPO – Scales Conservation Fund will host a fundraiser fishing competition at Klaserie Dam outside Hoedspruit from March 14 to March 16.

Proceeds from their Bait-for-the-Cause fishing competition will support the initiatives of two Hoedspruit non-profit organisations, Hoedspruit Paws and Scales Conservation.

Anyone with a passion for fishing, the welfare of dogs or wildlife conservation will enjoy this fun, family-friendly event.

There will be exciting prizes up for grabs for the biggest catches and cumulative lengths and prizes for the biggest barber, biggest bass and biggest carp for adults and juniors.

The competition is open to all ages and children are welcome. However, anglers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have written permission to enter.

The competition is cast-only and no watercraft will be allowed.

Weekend entries cost R360 for adults and R240 for juniors (anglers under 16 years of age).

Day entries cost R180 per adult and R120 juniors.

Entry fees exclude Klaserie Dam gate fees.
