Impala Netball shines at Polokwane meet-up

Impala Netball excels at the Boston City Campus friendly meet-up, winning two out of three matches, putting on impressive performances.

LIMPOPO – Impala Netball delivered a stellar performance at the Boston City Campus friendly meet-up games held on Saturday, March 15, at Polokwane Cricket Club.

Competing against strong opponents such as Glencore, Dwars, and Boston, Impala secured two impressive victories out of three matches, showcasing their resilience and teamwork.

Despite a challenging opening match against Dwars, which ended in a 10-4 loss, the team quickly regrouped and dominated their next two games. Impala claimed a remarkable 20-0 victory against Boston before securing another shutout win, 6-0, against Glencore. These victories were a testament to the team’s dedication and the hard work they have put into their training sessions.

“We were thrilled about winning two games out of the three we played on Saturday. It was a great team effort, and everyone played their hearts out. The hard work we put in during training paid off, and it feels amazing to see that translate into success on the court,” said Toomy Selepe, a member of the team’s communications committee.

The tournament showed a true test of skill and endurance, with competitive teams like Dwars pushing Impala to adapt and refine their strategies. The fast-paced nature of the games tested the team’s stamina, but their determination and teamwork carried them through.

“The games were intense and exciting. We put in a strong performance as a team. However, there were challenges as some teams like Dwars were very competitive, and we had to stay focused and adapt our strategies. At times, the pace of the game tested our endurance, but our teamwork and determination helped us push through. Overall, it was a rewarding experience, and we learned a lot from each match. We are eager to implement the new lessons,” she concluded.
