Southern Cross cricketers shine at Lim trials

Six SCS learners will represent Letaba at the Regional Cricket Tournament after standout performances at Limpopo trials.

HOEDSPRUIT – Six Southern Cross Schools learners have been selected to represent Letaba following strong performances at the Limpopo regional cricket trials held last week.

The players who earned their places are Clayton Gossayn, Quinn Jackson, Rory Malan, Matthew Jansen, Benjamin le Grange, and Thomas le Grange, who was named to the prestigious Chairman’s Team.

Their selection means they will now compete in the Regional Cricket Tournament later this year, where they will test their skills against some of the best young cricketers in the province.

Southern Cross Schools expressed pride in the achievement, saying the boys had shown not only talent but also dedication and commitment to the game.

“We are extremely proud of our learners’ success and wish them well as they take this next step in their cricket journey,” Alex Adams said.

The achievement adds to Southern Cross Schools’ growing reputation for producing promising young sportsmen and women, with the learners’ performances continuing to raise the school’s profile on the provincial sporting stage.
