This game will now be played on Tuesday at the Merensky oval, weather permitting. Unfortunately the u/15A’s lost their match against PHS. The second cricket team played against Warmbaths at Bela-Bela. After winning the toss, Merensky sent their opponents in, who were all bowled for only 96 runs.

The spirited second team easily scored 102 runs for only 4 wickets, thus gaining a victory with 6 wickets standing. Excellent bowling was delivered by Ruurd Jacobs – 3 wickets; Rynard Schoombee – 2 wickets. Batters who excelled were Blake Linder- 39 runs; Christopher Hamilton Fowle – 22 runs.

This team will play in the final at the Polokwane Cricket Club on Saturday, against the team from Louis Trichardt High School to establish who wears the Limpopo crown. This is worth mentioning, as it is the first time in many moons that the second team played themselves into a final. Well done guys!
