Ten in a row for Stanford Lake College

Stanford Lake College made history by winning the independent schools athletics title for the 10th year in a row in Polokwane on Tuesday last week.

It was an exceptionally successful day for all of the athletes, as the Stanfordians dominated almost every event from start to finish. Mokgale Mamabolo won senior Victor Ludorum.

He took first places in the 200m sprint, 100m sprint and took second place in the long jump event, despite breaking the u/19 boys record.

“It was fantastic to see that many of the athletes worked hard during the December holiday and were fit, fast and strong.”

“The spirit committee did a great job of ensuring that the athletes were well supported from the stands,” says Beth Coetzee, director of marketing at Stanford Lake College. Stanford Lake College successfully defended the title, and won the 2024 athletics meet by 100 points.
