Miss Letaba School crowned
It is amazing to see beauty queens come together to work on a common goal.
Miss Limpopo 2016 finalist, Ntsetselelo Mkansi partnered with Miss teen finalist, Ronnel Homu to host a pageant for learners with special needs.
The duo worked together in making Miss Letaba School of the disabled a success, the pageant was held last Thursday.
The mandate they received from the Miss Limpopo Foundation required them to do some community work and they did it with flair by making the girls feel beautiful inside out.
Ntsetselelo said the reason behind the pageant was mainly to change the mind-set of society whilst also making the kids feel special about themselves. ” Most of the kids now have new faith in themselves. This wasn’t just a typical beauty pageant, it had a strong purpose of changing what we regard beauty pageants to be .pageants are meant to raise individuals who are ready to uplift their communities and who are ready be role-models, I feel like we have achieved that purpose in this pageant,” she said.
Miguel Masiya was crowned Miss Letaba 2016, Happy Nyakane (1st princess) and Tamia Tshabalala (2nd princess). Rhandzu Mkansi was announced as Miss personality 2016.
“We hope to host the pageant annually.
We would like to thank the schools leadership for their level of trust in us , as well as all the people who came forward to sponsor with decoration , sound , photography and cash donations,” concluded Ntsetselelo.
