KNP access info during the holidays
SANParks would like to remind Day Visitors to the Kruger National Park that daily quotas will once again apply at the entrance gates during the coming December/January holidays.
The quotas will apply from Thursday, December 15 untill January 3 on a Tuesday.
Visitors are urged to make pre-bookings for their visits prior to their arrival and there are three time slots which they can choose from as follows from 05:00 to 07:00, 07:30 to 09:30 and 09:30 onwards.
The day visitor quota for the park is a management tool to maintain the carrying capacity of the park and is always in place throughout the year.
The emphasise is more during weekends and long holidays because of the amount of visitors who visit the KNP.
Visitors will be able to book up to 80% of day visitor qouta at the SANParks Reservations offices and online at www.sanparks.org.
Pre-booked day visitors will get preference over non-booked quota per gate via day visitors.
