The 8th annual event was conducted as a virtual pageant competition, but a small crowning ceremony was held for the nine finalists under strict compliance with Covid regulations.

Mathebula hopes to be a relatable and compassionate representative for the Miss GTRN brand and she wants to serve her community the best way she can under the current circumstances during the pandemic.

Lehlogonolo Moagi (20) from Tickyline village was crowned first princess. She is a third-year public relations student at the University of Limpopo.

She is passionate about the youth, education and making a difference for the unemployed youth within the Greater Tzaneen community.

Lethabo Ratabana (17), also from Tickyline, was crowned second princess. Ratabana said that her passion is community outreach programs for the youth and working with kids.

Nkowankowa born Ntombi Baloyi founded the pageant in 2012, being a beauty pageant queen herself.

“The purpose of this prestigious project is to develop and implement a platform within the Tzaneen area aimed at improving the life and prospects of young girls.

“This project also aims to encourage everyone within the community, especially the youth to do good and support those who are less fortunate,”concluded Baloyi.
