International wheelchair tennis comes to town

The Middelburg Country Club welcomed the first-ever internationally recognised wheelchair tennis tournament to town.

Taking place from March 24–26, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour-sanctioned KPM ITF Junior Tournament saw para-athletes from across South Africa converge upon Middelburg.

The talent and determination on display were tremendous, with the athletes having a fierce sense of respectful competition, as the only love lost on the court was the score going from 0 to 15.
