The entire incident was captured on High Resolution security cameras at the OK Grocer in Jeppe Street, Mineralia on Wednesday afternoon and immediately picked up by Management.

They followed the actions of the men closely and were on high alert to react forcefully but the suspects, fortunately, failed in their attempted theft out of motor vehicle.

Driving in a new silver Polo with registration number DSB 800 MP, one of the suspects walks inside the shop to buy groceries as the other suspiciously paces up and down, pretends to do a transaction at the ATM, and at one point uses one leg to lean on a wall where he scans a potential victim in front of him.

When the other man comes out of the supermarket his accomplice points to the vehicle that’s apparently “left open” or the more common theory of remote jamming.
However, at no point in the video is a remote control visible but the one suspect is seen constantly fidgeting with something in his pocket.

After opening the door and quickly searching the Toyota Hilux, the man is clearly disappointed that he is empty handed.
He then walks towards the other end of the road where his accomplice picks him up and they leave.

Management at OK Grocer stated that they were “very concerned” about the professional manner and fearless conduct of the suspects.

They have already taken further security steps to ensure safety of all shoppers and reported the incident to the Police, and are also conducting their own investigation.
