Woman murdered
A young woman was found dead on Monday morning in an open veld near Siyathuthuka township outside Belfast.
She was discovered by passers-by at approximately 07:00 lying on the ground adjacent to Kayalami Street.
Belfast SAPS spokesperson Sergeant, Kwapa MacDonald, confirmed a case of murder are being investigated.
“It seemed that the deceased was killed somewhere and dumped in the veld. She had injuries to the head and body. She was declared dead on the scene. At this time we are still looking for her next of kin as well as information that could lead to the arrest of her killers,” said MacDonald.
The woman wore blue jeans, a pair of maroon shoes, a black and white stripped jacket and black T-shirt.
