Update: Sibiya guilty of manslaughter

The head of emergency services at the Komati Powerstation, Nkosinathi Freedom Sibiya, has been found guilty of culpable homicide.

Sibiya, faced charges of culpable homicide and failure to render assistance on an accident scene.

Sibiya was involved in an accident that claimed the life of Gerald Viljoen on 22 February 2014. He was driving a Mercedes Benz car and Mr Viljoen was travelling on a motorbike on the Hendrina Road near Rockdale when the accident happened.
