Murdered man found outside hospital

The body of an unidentified man was found early this morning on the pavement close to the entrance to the Middelburg Provincial Hospital.

The security guards of the hospital discovered the body at 04:50 this morning (Friday) in Hospital Road, nearby the entrance to the parking area.

He had a gaping wound on his head, but the blood on his face was already dry. The victim’s clothes were soaking wet,

• A murder docket was opened shortly after the incident.
