The corridors of the second phase is decorated with artworks by two local artists Philmon Talane and Coster Mkoki. The unique artworks include a sculpture of a cow driving a bright red Farmall tractor.

Shoppers can ready themselves for the opening of the shops in the new phase on Thursday morning at 09:00. New tenants include Dischem, Cotton-On, Spar, Babies-R-Us, Toys-R-Us and popular franchise restaurants Panarotti’s, John Dory’s and frozen yogurt connoisseurs Wackaberry.

The new extension of the mall sees the unveiling of a clock-tower, bound to become a Middelburg landmark. A bathroom with parents in mind, has practical changing facilities and a special kiddies toilet for toddlers.

The entrance between John Dory’s and Panarotti’s looks different from other entrances because it is where the planned phase three of the mall will be. The entrance can be broken down easily so construction can start as soon as the go-ahead for the entertainment section is given.

Only as stone’s throw away, barriers have been put up to start with the construction of Burger King. This popular international franchise plans on being completed during the autumn of 2015.
